How much is the tax credit awarded to private customers for the purchase of a solar array worth? -------- Am I entitled to a tax credit if I install a solar array to my holiday home? -------- Are there any specific packages available to me to finance the installation of a solar array? -------- Am I eligible for a tax credit even if I don’t pay tax? -------- Why should I not just use this solar-generated electricity, rather than selling it off? -------- What is the feed-in tariff for solar-generated electricity?? --------

As from July 26th, 2006, , the electricity that you produce with your photovoltaic solar panels is bought by EDF at a preferential rate. This feed-in tariff for solar-generated electricity is guaranteed for 20 years starting from the date of your solar array being connected to the electricity grid. This tariff is indexed to rise at a rate close to that of the rate of inflation.

In 2010 the tariff is set at:

  • 0.58€/kWh for building-integrated PV arrays.
  • 0.42€/kWh in the case of retrofitted arrays

(in fact, this tariff is 3 to 5 times higher than the basic EDF tariff of 0.10€/kWh charged to private customers).

With Solairedirect, become an electricity producer – it’s a great investment for both you and the environment!
