Conseils régionaux and Conseils Généraux (Regional and Departmental Councils) and even some parish councils award grants of varying size towards the installation of solar arrays. However, be aware that these grants have been cut back following recent changes to the feed-in tariff. The ANAH (a state-run body that offers grants towards home improvements) may also offer financial help to private individuals in the low-income bracket on a case by case basis.
