Monsieur Borel's sheep pen
Nestling in the heart of the Dévoluy massif, one of the massifs of the Hautes-Alpes, is a sheep farm run by Monsieur Borel. His livestock buildings were fitted with photovoltaic solar panels during 2009. Since connection to the electricity grid, this array has made the most of its geographical location (high altitude location, orientation) and has exceeded electricity production forecasts by 10%. |
