Electricity from solar power: How does it work?

You will sell all the electricity you produce at 5 times the price you pay for the electricity you use.

All Solairedirect solar arrays installed on private customers’ properties are building-integrated so you can benefit from the best feed-in tariff: 58 € cents per kWh (tariff as of January 10th, 2010, guaranteed by the state for 20 years).

Since July 1st, 2006, producers of photovoltaic electricity benefit from:

  • The legal obligation on EDF to buy the electricity they produce over a 20 year period.
  • An attractive feed-in tariff guaranteed by the State for 20 years, adjusted each year in line with a rating linked largely to the rate of inflation:
    • 58 euro cents per kWh (2010 tariff) for a building-integrated array
    • 42 euro cents per KWh for retro-fitted arrays (simplified building integration)
    • 31.4 to 37.7 euro cents per KWh for ground-based arrays (depending on the region)
