Is my house compatible with a solar array?
Most buildings are suitable for the installation of solar arrays. To install the array, there needs to be a South, East or West-facing surface where the array can be fitted on the roof. This area should not be shaded by trees, neighbouring houses or the chimney.
A South-facing roof with a 30° slope will offer the best results. In terms of the light’s solar energy yield, a Southeast or Southwest-facing roof, or a slope with an angle of between 25° and 60° will also give very good yields.
