Do I have to install the array by myself? -------- Does the array have to be maintained? -------- Can hail destroy a solar array? --------

Solar panels are generally very well protected against hail. The special glass used in solar panels is tempered and the panel undergoes testing which involves it being sprayed with ice pellets. These tests, which meet the IEC standard, are carried out using ice pellets of between 1.25 and 0.75cm in diameter and impact speeds of up to 140kph. So it’s safe to say that the likelihood of solar panels being destroyed by hail is relatively low.

Is the income I make from selling electricity produced by a solar array liable to income tax? -------- What happens if my solar array breaks down? -------- What is the life span of a solar array? -------- What administrative steps must be carried out in order to have a solar array installed? -------- Can a lightning strike destroy a solar array? -------- Does a solar array run the risk of being damaged by hail? --------
